EMMONS FOR OREGON
STATE REPRESENTATIVE

RURAL VOICES MATTER. IT'S TIME FOR REAL SOLUTIONS!

Front page_edited.jpg

Hello! I’m a lifelong Willamette Valley resident and local entreprenuer with over 25 years of professional experience in community development, education and grassroots leadership. I’m running for House Representative because rural citizens deserve a voice in creating policies that affect our future. Instead of representing big business interests and simply walking out of legislation because I disagree with overarching policy ideas, I will fight on behalf of our communities no matter how hard the conversation gets. I believe differences make our communities stronger. Instead of dancing to the left or right, it's time we move forward to address the issues that really matter to our communities.

MORE ABOUT MICHELLE

District 12 plays a critical role in Oregon’s economy as the "Gateway to the Cascades" – we are guardians of one of the greatest natural resource and outdoor recreation inventories in the State, influencing agriculture and timber supply chains and providing ground zero water quality integrity for the entire Willamette Valley region. Our communities deserve a seat at the table to help develop policies that complement our values, build a strong economy, and provide a sustainable future for generations to come.

STRONG LOCAL ECONOMIES

As your representative, I will advocate for quality education, workforce development and job innovation, affordable housing, transportation, expanded investment for businesses and the infrastructure necessary to support our growing communities.

HEALTHCARE, EMS, PUBLIC SAFETY

Our communities deserve equitable access to healthcare, emergency services, and public safety; including resources to expand social services and mental health care delivery for our most vulnerable citizens.

NATURAL RESOURCES

Oregon must embrace climate resilency strategies that do not place undue burdens on rural communities. Land use policies must deliver on equitable access to clean air and water, while balancing sustainability with economic benefits that prioritze local communities first.
